Cooking Hero Assignments

Super Heroes need to eat lots to keep them strong. We need all the Harvey Heroes to help us feed the hungry crowd.

Everyone to bring a bucket of NUT FREE treats to share (cookies, squares, munchies)

Directions from Medicine Hat:

- Head east out of Medicine Hat on AB-1 E (Trans-Canada Hwy). Stay on AB-1 E for approx. 26km (16 miles).

-  Turn right onto Buffalo Trail/​AB-41 S (signs for Havre/​Elkwater). Stay on AB-41 S for approx. 35km (22 miles).

- Turn left onto Range Road 25A. You'll have just passed Elkwater Lake on your right when you make the left turn. (Click here to see a pic of the left turn)

ONLY 4 WEEK UNTIL THE REUNION!

• I am looking for a final count of heroes attending.  I need exact numbers for food, fun, etc.  So please post or email who and which age catagory they fall into: ADULT (18 AND UP), TEENAGER (12-17), CHILD( 3-11) BABE (3 AND UNDER)

• NEED OPINIONS ON WHETHER TO HAVE AN AUCTION OR NOT? Or maybe you have other ideas for fund raising.  What about if 'Talulas' store is a penny(to use up all those useless pennies), loonie(this is a $1 coin), tooney(this is a $2 coin) store and you can donate items for all to purchase?
• SUNDAY:  If you need a place to stay Sat night and wish to attend church, I can provide some floor space and maybe a bed.  Let me know.
• PROJECTOR:  Tiffany is in need of a projector.  If anyone is willing to bring one for her to  use please notify ASAP.
• ARRIVAL TIME:  It would be nice to know your ETA on Thursday, July 4th.  Will it be before supper or after?
• Let me know if you willl need a map of how to get there, otherwise I will assume you will rely on 'google'.  There willl be signs to get you to the exact Hero Landing.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:  " NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS"  This is a quote Grandpa and Grandma used to say to us all the time.  It's meaning today is that if I have not heard from you, I am going to assume that means you are a  'YE' in regards to coming to the Harvey Reunion...HOORAY!

I WENT OUT TO THE SIGHT TO GET A VISUAL OF WHERE OUR REUNION WILL BE HELD AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.  I KNOW I SAID IT ALREADY WAS THE PERFECT SPOT BUT NOW I KNOW WHAT I SAID IS TRUE, WHEREAS I WAS ONLY GOING BY FAITH BEFORE!

This is your Reunion of 2013  update.

I have received such a positive response to this it makes me so excited to get together with all of you.  I need a sure commitment now as of May 1, 2013. So if you have not responded, please let me know ‘ye or nay’ ASAP.

 A reunion involves lots of help from all.  So assignments to committees will be coming out in the next newsletter.  If there is something that you are especially interested in helping with, please don’t hold back on your superhuman talent, let me know.

The Whispering Pines Camp will have available a climbing wall, remote control truck track, outdoor firepit and fireworks.

Elkwater has boating/waterskiing lake, bike trails, hiking paths, and swimming.  So think about the toys you and your family want to bring.

I have heard rumors that ‘Talula’ will be coming again…she has a superhero boyfriend she wants to introduce you all to!?

The Reunion of 2013 is coming!  I am sure you are all making the necessary arrangements to come to Alberta for our Reunion.

This is a notice to remind you that it may take some super human effort to attend, but it will be worth it.

*perfect dates because it will allow our Americans’ some extra travel time and we do have permission to light fireworks on the ‘4^th’ !!!!!

**perfect place because as you travel to this spot you will feel the spirit of Elijah.  Alberta is where a lot of your ancestral history is rooted! 

***perfect people attending because Grandpa and Grandma will be there!  I don’t know how much time they have left on earth, but I do know that Grandpa has requested a hope to see as many of his grandchildren and great grandchildren before he dies.  They are our Heroes!  Come have a picture taken in a Red Superhero phone booth with them both.

Please let me know as soon as you know if you are attending.  Also if there is anything that you would love to take charge of, please don’t hesitate to volunteer.
